Its only limitation is a nearly useless tutorial mode, which all but ignores some of the new control scheme’s best features. Unfortunately I am unable to give a 10/10 as much as I'd like to, but for my switch and other console, I'm not sure if anyone else had it, the game was near unplayable due to the game constantly crashing. While you can flip between the two control schemes with the left and right buttons on the D-pad, zoom is mapped to the up and down buttons. There are numbers, acronyms, percentages and stats being thrown around willy-nilly, so good luck figuring out if your character is a wet noodle prior to actually slapping something. The game launched in Early Access in 2020, but the full release finally dropped on PC in August 2023 to rave reviews.

The package is rounded out by both Black Pit games; side adventures also created by Beamdog which see you make your way through increasingly difficult arena battles. You have the option to zoom in on proceedings in these enhanced editions, to get right up close and personal with your party of adventurers, but trust us, you don’t need to get too close to the blurry little sprite-based characters here. Taking direct control over your group does away with this problem entirely; no more watching your team members knock into their surroundings like they've had one too many pints of Tanagyr's Stout down the Splurging Sturgeon.
