About this deal

And when the heroine asked you to give her up, you defended the situation by telling her your ex is your friend and she needs you. If I were her, I would be telling you to take a hike until you were really over your ex. I still don’t know what to think about those two. Apparently Nazeera was a close friend of Juliette when they were kids and Haider seems to like Warner a lot, so I’m pretty certain there’ll be a lot of interesting revelations in the next book. Despite the general air of hostility I liked both of their characters though. I mean Nazeera is a strong female character and I always dig them and Haider … Well we didn’t get to see a lot of him but I wouldn’t be surprised if he had some abilities too. ;-P Plus Nazeera and Kenji!!! GOSH! That would be a match made in heaven!!! <333

He presses his lips together. Looks up at the ceiling. “So, okay—the first thing you need to know is that this isn’t my fault, okay? I was just trying to help.” When she and Dominic collided it was sensual and pure magic. The steam and chemistry was amazing. Yes, the story dragged a little towards the end but I couldn’t care less cause I was captivated with this story and its characters. Her relationship with dom was everything. The way their relationship went from hate to love was perfect. It was so adorable and heartwarming <33 AND OMG THE GRAYS ANATOMY PROPOSAL R U KIDDING ME. THIS WAS THE BEST PROPOSAL EVER. MY STANDARDS R SKY HIGH RN BECAUSE OF HIM.Because I may speak for North America—but what of the rest of the world? What of South America? Europe? Asia? Africa? Oceania? Supposedly he’s done with his ex girlfriend but “they’re still friends and he cares about her” so he allows her to call him and lean on him for support. Even during the first real date with the heroine. Instead of taking that call, dude, turn off your phone!!

Hey!” Kenji shouts. “I am not here for this abusive relationship, okay?” He points at Warner. “I did not sign up for this shit!” I'll do whatever it takes to have you, including letting you use me to fulfill every need and desire you have," She feels like home. She feels like the only person who has ever looked at me and known me in a single second. She feels like every dream I’ve ever had, every wish I’ve ever made, every oath I’ve ever sworn to keep all rolled up into one perfect being.'I am proud to now call myself a J.L. Seegars fan. Her writing is so captivating and beautiful. The imagery and dialogue is so well done. Chris feels so real. Mallory feels like your best friend. I can’t wait for more parts of this story. I will be reading everything she writes. My mother is dead, I think, as I drag the electric blade across my skull. My father is dead, I think, as the hair falls to the floor. Everything I was, everything I did, everything I am, was forged from the twins of their action and inaction.

chris’ arrival in this part was a pain in itself. i mean, to find out one of your closest friends and the love of your life’s brother has died in that way? it has to be indescribable. or you would think that, but jl seegars describes it perfectly in painstakingly detail so that you feel everything. the main and most prevalent emotion being yearning. not for his friend, not for the time they didn’t have together, but for mal; his lost love. they’re reunited and try as [mal] might, there’s no denying there connection and like magnets, they’re drawn to each other again. i reread this spontaneously in preparation for shadow me and that shit HURTED. im thirty times more confused than i was about this book's ending. but the things i enjoyed most about this reread was seeing warner's self-awareness develop and the distinction between different kinds of power and resilience, specifically how juliette has to compartmentalize and separately hone her physical strength and mental strength. loved it as always even though i'm so confused and stressed i could cry i think the best line to describe this book is that juliette is dealing with "the frustration of having so much power, so much power and feeling so utterly, completely powerless" (420-421). Once you realize that, NOTHING juliette does comes off as whiney. warner's inner monologue is......... everything. i mean that both literally because of its weight and meaningfulness, but also his sarcasm is perf
