Robusta coffees are cheaper, although I'd have to say that in 2019 with a shortage of robusta in the global market, it's now a more expensive proposition compared to a few years ago. Our Filter Coffee offering is a smaller subset of our entire coffee portfolio. There are only just a couple of coffees we make available, roasted for filter style coffee specifically. As filter style is growing at a faster rate than espresso, we anticipate that as demand increases over time, we will add more coffees to the Filter Style list. Our roasting equipment has finer control of air and temperature than most other roasting platforms. If the grind is too coarse, or the dose too low (remember that grind and dose work together and against each other), the espresso will "gush", and the shot is completed in a short time (less than 20 secs for example). Then it's the smooth and creamy body with balanced and refined citrus acidity, deep cocoa flavours and the most extended dark chocolate finish in history .Away from heat, light and changing temperatures. We like the bottom of a pantry or a cupboard that kept relative constant in temperate, a cool area that stays between 15 -25 degrees is best, particularly if you live north of Sydney. A light sheen of oil or moisture on the outside of roasted Decaf coffee beans is a natural cycle due to the caffeine removal altering the coffee bean's cell structure and moisture content. Not everyone can roast Decaf properly . In our long experience with Decaf coffees, we know the shelf life of Decaf is shorter than regular coffees. A coffee blend consists of two or more individual coffee beans that may be mixed together in the raw state (green) prior to roasting or they are roasted separately and blend after roasting. Raw Decaf coffee (unroasted) travels from Canada to country importers, selling Swiss Water Decaf to local or domestic coffee companies.
